Vekoma – Delivering happiness around the globe

Vekoma Rides, part of Japan’s Sansei Technologies, is currently taking that step. The Dutch company designs, produces and installs roller coasters and other amusement park attractions around the world. Behind every attraction lies a complex international logistics operation.

“Each attraction is essentially a project with several transport flows,” explains Marcel Graef, Manager Logistics at Vekoma. “The steel columns and tracks are often produced by specialised partners in Eastern Europe or Asia. Components such as drives, control systems and hardware come from various suppliers, while the trains themselves are produced and assembled at our headquarters in Vlodrop.”

Vekoma’s next step towards smarter transport management

Vekoma designs, produces and installs roller coasters and attractions worldwide. Each project involves global supply chains, multiple partners and strict delivery timelines. As Vekoma grows, so does the complexity of its logistics. Increasing volumes, stricter regulations and global disruptions demand greater control and coordination.

Vekoma’s logistics operations are becoming increasingly complex due to growth, stricter regulations, documentation requirements and unpredictable global transport conditions. To create more structure and control, Vekoma started implementing Caroz THE TMS.

The first phase focuses on spare parts logistics, with orders automatically transferred from the ERP system into the TMS. This enables smarter carrier selection, automated transport documents, customer notifications and proof of delivery.

Together with Caroz, Vekoma is now working on the next steps: managing complete attraction transports and internal logistics flows in one environment. This creates better oversight, supports shipment consolidation and forms the foundation for a future transport control tower focused on exception management.
